The electricity system is moving from a few large plants to millions of distributed assets, balanced closer and closer to real time. Dagenta bridges the physical needs of that system with the power markets: we optimise flexible assets on behalf of their developers and operators, and we trade on our own account as the market counterpart of flexibility and renewables.

0per cent of German power production came from renewables in 2025, up from 17 in 2010.
0×growth in continuous intraday volume since 2015. Germany leads it.
0per cent of that volume trades as 15-minute products, the unit we work in.
0per cent of volume now trades in the final hour before delivery.
The market

Renewables made intraday the market that matters

Every added gigawatt raises forecast error, and forecast error is settled on the intraday market.

Wind and solar went from 17% to 58% of German production between 2010 and 2025, and storage has not kept pace. Everyone who commits volumes before knowing them carries the risk, and it strikes hardest exactly when the forecast error is largest.

Continuous intraday volume has grown fifteenfold since 2015, Germany leads it, 15-minute products are a third of the volume, and 30% of it now trades in the final hour.

What we do

Bridging the physical needs of the system with the power markets

Flexibility, not capacity, will decide the future of renewables. Dagenta acts in two ways on the German and French short-term markets: we optimise flexible assets on behalf of the people who develop and operate them, and we trade on our own account as the counterpart of flexibility and renewables.

A

On-behalf optimisation

We directly optimise flexible assets on the markets on behalf of flexibility developers and operators: batteries, solar plants leaving their feed-in tariff, EV fleets and the aggregators that manage them.

A

Route to market, transparent benchmarks

Dagenta's exchange and clearing memberships and balancing group connect each asset to the day-ahead and intraday markets. Flexibility is marketed against published exchange reference prices, fully auditable, with scheduling, TSO nominations, balancing responsibility, settlement and regulatory reporting handled for you.

B

Proprietary trading

We are the market counterpart of flexibility and renewables, helping both manage their risks. AI-selected intraday strategies, human-supervised, built on a proprietary real-time pricing engine.

B

Liquidity and a wholesale counterpart

Dagenta quotes bids and offers on the intraday market, adding liquidity where renewables and flexibility need to trade, and takes the other side of their trades on the wholesale market through bilateral physical agreements, outside the financial-instrument perimeter.

Why Dagenta

AI scales execution. Market expertise creates the edge.

Traditional AI approaches learn historical patterns, treat power as a generic market and break when the rules evolve. Dagenta encodes market design and regulation into the models themselves, because the people who wrote the rules built the platform. The same engine runs both activities.

Flexibility inMarket value out

One desk in the middle. Flexibility flows in, market value flows out.

Asset owners connect their flexibility to our desk through one contract and one data feed; we optimise it on the day-ahead and intraday markets and settle against published exchange reference prices. Renewables and flexibility that need a counterpart find one on the same desk, trading on our own account.
